Orange Grove announces the retirement of Glenda Dalton after 34 years

Orange Grove Center would like announcement the retirement of Glenda Dalton, who was employed with the center for more than 34 years.

Dalton, a former stay-at-home mom, came to Orange Grove in 1978, along with her then 7-year-old daughter, Meredith, a recipient of services at the center.

She began her career at Orange Grove substituting for the center’s adult vocational training programs and in Children’s Services.  As a full-time employee, she spent several years in the Accounting and Records Departments and also worked in Health Care Services as a receptionist.  She eventually made her way back to the center’s adult programming as a team leader in the Industrial Training Center, supervising individuals working on contract projects for local companies.

In 2000, she transitioned to Human Resources, where she would served as administrative assistant, employment specialist, and over the last two years as executive administrative assistant to the director.

Glenda’s bucket list includes more volunteer service to her church, gardening, traveling, home improvement projects, and more family time.
