Gail Walker has been the director of Supported Living at
Orange
Grove
Center since January 2007. Her responsibilities include overseeing departmental operations, managing the budget and employee relations.
She has been part of the Orange Grove family for over 20 years. Her career at Orange Grove began on
August 1, 1988, as a classroom assistant in ACT.
In July of 1989, she began working in the
Industrial
Training
Center as a social worker’s assistant. She also worked as a production supervisor in ITC.
Gail was granted leave from Orange Grove to finish her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at the
University of
Tennessee at
Chattanooga. Upon returning to Orange Grove, Gail spent time as a client program coordinator, behavior specialist, agency case manager and residential coordinator.
Prior to becoming director, Gail worked as a coordinator for Supported Living, when it became its own department in August 2001.
