Tinkerbell made wishes come true for many at Orange Grove

Tinkerbell, a miniature horse from Heartland Ranch and Arena, was recently brought to Orange Grove Center as part of a recreational and therapeutic experience for individuals served by the center.

The clients responded enthusiastically to the experience of brushing, stroking, hugging, and feeding him.  The visit to the center was part of a collaborative relationship with Heartland Ranch.  In the coming months, Orange Grove will begin sending students to the ranch for a therapeutic riding program at the facility in Flintstone, GA.

Tinkerbell also spent time in Orange Grove’s Snoezelen Room, a sensory therapy environment for persons with intellectual disabilities, which was his favorite place.

Heartland Ranch is a non-profit organization aimed at improving the lives of children with special needs.
