Orange Grove Center offers comprehensive primary care services to individuals with disabilities. Eligible patients are those who are supported by Orange Grove in group homes and/or day programs, as well as individuals with disabilities in the surrounding area who may have no formal association with the Center.
Established in 1991, The Augustus McCravey Health Care Clinic provides preventive care and treatment utilizing the Patient-Centered Medical Home model. The dedicated team of family nurse practitioner, overseeing physician, nurses, and knowledgeable support staff demonstrates commitment to the care and support of individuals with special needs and their families. All services and procedures are rendered by professionals attuned to the cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral nuances of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.
A number of consulting providers additionally care for patients in the clinic, including a neurologist, podiatrist, and psychiatric nurse practitioner. Regarded as a unique health care education opportunity, medical students, nursing students, and advanced practice nurses complete clinical education within the OGC Primary Health Care Clinic.
